Large Home Addition

What the Customer Wanted: This customer needed a handicap accessible bedroom and bathroom. BLM Construction built a 1st floor, fully customized, master suite.

What We Did: Footers, foundation, framing, windows, doors, plumbing, electric, HVAC, exterior and interior finishes. We also put in a Formadrain system and sump pit to direct water away from the foundation of the new addition.

Challenges: The challenge on this job was working with a previous contractor’s inaccurate excavation. An additional challenge was moving an egress in one of the existing bedrooms due to the new roof line interfering with the window.

Medium Home Addition

What the Customer Wanted: This family decided to add an addition to use as a rec room for their young children to have a space to play, watch TV, do crafts and complete homework.

What We Did: This is a 400 square foot, one story addition on the back of the customer’s home. We took care of everything from drawings and permits to the foundation and paint. This included Footers, foundation, framing, windows, doors, plumbing, electric, HVAC, exterior and interior finishes.

Challenges: It was a challenge to build an addition on the existing basement entrance foundation. The particular township in which the customer resides required the involvement of an engineer.

Small Home Addition

What the Customer Wanted: The customer wanted a living room off of the existing dining room and worked with our architect to design the perfect space. Due to the growth of the family, they converted the existing living room into a bedroom.

What we did: Footers, foundation, framing, windows, electric, HVAC, exterior and interior finishes.

Challenges: The customer wanted a flawless transition from the existing room to the addition. It was a challenge to match the floor height of the existing home with the floor height of the addition. We had to ensure exact measurements of the foundation and have perfect concrete pour.
