UFC Gym

1160 Park City Center, Lancaster, PA 17601

UFC Gym
Building the UFC Gym at Park City Center was a complicated, engaging, yet gratifying project. Even with the tight timeline of a little over three months, we were still able to beat the deadline by one month, turning the space over on January 15th, 2020! The site started as four independent retail locations with their own bathrooms, offices, and dividing walls. The tenant fit out included offices, locker rooms, a main workout area, grappling room, group fitness space, childcare rooms, large counter for food and beverage service, and a retail area.

Key Challenges
1. Because of the size of the gym (18,000 square feet), there was varying specialty flooring that needed to be installed. This flooring includes grappling room mats, group fitness flooring, bag room mats, turf for sports performance training and rolled rubber flooring in the main gym area.
2. One major challenge was the HVAC system. It was a large space and due to the nature of the business, it was imperative that the system both cooled and heated adequately to meet the needs of its members.

Fun Fact
The smoothie bar required its own set of inspections from the Health Department.

Subway

299 W Lincoln Ave, Myerstown, PA 17067

Subway: BLM completed this 2000 square foot Subway Fresh Start remodel in 2019. It consisted of renovations such as: all new lighting, a new ceiling, new flooring, updated wallpaper, and fresh paint. We also installed new equipment, tables, chairs, and signs.

Key Challenge: Because the store is open during the day, the majority of the work needed to be completed at night, after the store was closed.

Power Train Sports and Fitness

96 Sofia Dr Ste 203, Shrewsbury, PA 17361

Power Train: We completed this gym build out from a cold dark shell. We framed, hung drywall, and painted the walls and open ceiling. We ran all new electric and multiple special floor finishes including: rubber mat, turf, and vinyl plank. We installed vinyl coated chain link fencing, placed all equipment, and built a custom reception desk.

Key Challenge: The layout of this commercial space was oddly shaped and required custom design work.

Fun Fact: This is the third Power Train gym built by the same owner. The other gyms are located in West York, and East York.

Life's Diversion Float Spa

4350 N George Street Extension, Manchester, PA 17345

Float Spa: BLM Construction & Remodeling was hired to build out this customer’s business. We started by demoing two existing stores to make a single, 3000 square feet, space. We then framed, insulated, drywalled, and painted. We installed a drop ceiling, and a custom epoxy floor. We constructed a waiting area, and built a reception desk. Electric, lighting, and HVAC was also installed.

Key Challenge: One challenge was 100% sound proofing the float pod rooms. It required special insulation, soundproofing paint, and multiple layers of drywall.

Fun Fact: This is the first float spa opened in York.
