Commercial Project Q&A with Our CEO Barry L. Mease March 15, 2024 Looking to start
Welcome to our “Learn More” page! Here, you’ll find our job processes, awards we’ve won, a list of frequently asked questions, the BLM Construction Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy Handbook, and our blog. It’s everything you might have questions about in one place.
Design and Discovery
We will work one-on-one with you to understand your vision of your project, create ideas and solutions, and make sure it fits within your budget. Our team will take those ideas and bring your project to life.
Pre-Construction
During this phase, our designer will reach out to begin the selection process, and you will get to meet some of our incredible vendors to search for allowance-based items. While you’re working on selections, our pre-construction manager will work on submitting your permits and lining up subcontractors, if applicable. Once selections and permitting are completed, your assigned job manager will reach out to schedule a pre-construction meeting.
Construction
This is when your dreams and ideas start to become reality! Our diverse team of painters, drywall experts, plumbing affiliates, and carpenters will begin construction. When our inspections ensure that we are at and above our standard of perfection, the final details will fall right into place for completion!
Warranty and Beyond
Once your project is completed, keep in mind you are a member of the BLM Construction family. You have the support of a company that you can trust to provide any assistance you may need and protect you with service offers, repairs, and follow-ups.
Are your estimates free?
Yes! We offer free estimates for any of your commercial or residential projects.
How long does it take to get an estimate?
The time it takes to receive an estimate entirely depends on the length and complexity of your project. For example, the estimation process could be longer if you needed drawings for your project, which we would be happy to help you with!
Do you offer any warranties?
We guarantee and warranty workmanship for a period of one year and warranty roofing for a period of 10 years. These warranties do not cover issues that arise from normal wear and tear or as a result of negligence. BLM Construction & Remodeling, LLC will repair or replace defective work we performed at no charge to the owner.
Does every type of job need a permit?
No, not every job needs a permit. It all depends on the complexity of the project and the township or borough’s requirements. Over the last 20 years we have become extremely familiar with all the municipalities in the York area, so talk with your job manager and they would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding the permitting process!
Do you offer financing?
We accept various types of financing. Click the button below to get more details!
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Please note you will be charged a transaction fee of $0.30 and merchant services fees at an additional 3.0% for Visa & Mastercard and 4.0% for American Express charges.
I’m on a budget. Will you work with me on cost?
Our estimations are final, however, we encourage constant communication between customer and estimator, so changing your estimate to lower the cost is not a problem.
Can you give me a ballpark price?
We normally do not offer ballpark estimates, however, speak with one of our estimators to find out, as there may be different circumstances on a per project basis.
