Sunroom Windows

Have you been looking to make an addition to your home? Sunrooms, also called solariums or sun porches, offer a space to entertain, relax and enjoy nature without the hassle of dealing with outdoor elements, such as weather and insects.

With the option of having a three season or four season sunroom, a sun porch can be used almost year-round and provides a sunny, versatile area that can be catered to what you need. Not sure if a sunroom is right for you? Here are a few pros to consider:

Versatility: Sun porches can be used as an extra living room, lounge, craft room, dining area, home office, playroom or even a home gym. Having an expansion provides the opportunity to create a space that fits into your lifestyle, whether you like to entertain guests, separate your kid’s chaos from the rest of the house or be a home body surrounded by plants.

Natural Light: One of the main benefits of having a sun porch is the natural light. The light supplied by having many windows makes this room perfect for plants, brightening up a space and giving the effect of being immersed with the outdoors.

Increased Real Estate Value: Aside from lifestyle and aesthetic, as a homeowner, you’re also thinking about resale value. Adding a sunroom increases the curb appeal and value of your home.

Should You Get a Three Season or Four Season Sunroom?

Insulated glass windows, and sometimes heating and air conditioning, are what sets the four season room apart from a three-season sunroom. These features make an all season room comfortable all year round.

A three season sunroom can be used in the spring, summer and fall seasons, but winter weather and blistering hot days would make the room uncomfortable and nearly unusable those times of the year.

Note that a four season room may incur more utility costs due to the use of additional heating and air conditioning.
